Studio Wildroses is the work of Sarah Romanek. Her design is heavily influenced by motifs from around the world, focusing on intricate pattern, ornate shapes, and fine details. She creates in silver, gold, copper and brass using semi-precious stones. All item are hand made in her studio using traditional metalsmithing techniques. Sarah was born and raised in the greater Los Angeles area. At the age of 18 she moved to the far north of California to attend Humboldt State University. It was there that her passion for craft was ignited through the many art studio environments that were offered. It was the Jewelry and Small Metals program that received most of her attention. This is where she learned her skills as a metalsmith while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art. In 2009 Sarah and her now husband, also a LA native, moved back to Los Angeles. They currently reside in Azusa, CA with their two cats, Sophia and Marley and one dog, Oklahoma. |
